After giving gamers the power to rule over the daily lives of virtual humans in "The Sims," Electronic Arts will release "Spore," a game that gives the player the power to create and foster the evolution of virtual life.
The customization functionality on the game is phenomenal and is really only limited by the creator's imagination. That is evidenced by the menagerie of nearly 600,000 oddities that have been uploaded to the "Sporepedia" by the game's hundreds of thousands of users.
Oh noes! I sense potential addiction...
"Honey, come to bed. You need to get the kids on the school bus in three hours."
"Not now! I'm working on six prototypes and still need to find the perfect limbs for each."
"It's a good thing you don't also have to give them coordinated shoes and handbags - sheesh!"
This game sounds fun! I could genetically engineer the perfect being! I would give myself a couple more arms and a larger "package" for breeding purposes =)
